In 1880, almost 125 years ago, we started supplying the domestic tool and saw industry from our first warehouse in Remscheid.

Our company name has changed quite often in the past few decades as a result of various steel mergers, but as a competent partner we have always supplied our customers, especially the saw manufacturers, with appropriate raw material.

We have continuously optimised the qualities and the product in order to satisfy the exact requirements of our saw manufacturing customers.

In the course of the 1997 steel merger, the companies Thyssen Stahl and Krupp Hoesch Stahl combined their activities.

The last change of name took place on 1 October 1999, when ThyssenKrupp Sägenstahlcenter GmbH was born as a 100% subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Steel AG. Due to our close association with our parent company ”ThyssenKrupp Steel”, we are even better able to react to market trends, respond to specific customer requirements and offer appropriate solutions.

The quality flat steel products we offer

• hot rolled strip (coil / sheet)
• sheet cut from hot rolled wide strip
• heavy plate from 4-high mill (“quarto”)
• cold rolled strip, bright quenched and tempered or rolled for         strength, in coils and bars
• quenched and tempered circular, square and rectangular               blanks

are produced by ThyssenKrupp in a variety of steel grades and a wide range of products and dimensions, stored in the ThyssenKrupp saw steel centre in Remscheid, cut to size and from there distributed to saw and knife manufacturers all over the world.

The entire production is in the hands of ThyssenKrupp: that means consistent quality, security in deliveries and complete service from the beginning to the end.
